Justin Bieber Late for London Show, Issues Apology

After a reported two-hour delay at a London performance, Justin Bieber issued an apology today on Twitter.

On March 4, Justin Bieber reportedly showed up two hours late for a performance, angering fans and their parents in the process. In response, the “Boyfriend” singer issued a statement on March 5, in which he mentions technical issues and his uneven relationship with the media.

Writing on Twitter, the pop star opened with: “Since i have been here it hasn't been easy with the press at times but i have loved it. so let me say this…”

Bieber then explains that he was scheduled to go on at 9:35 p.m., after three opening acts. However, “technical issues” delayed his appearance to 10:10 p.m., giving many concertgoers a choice to see his show or miss the train after paying over $100 for tickets. Reports of the incident include fans booing at 9:30 p.m. Because of this, he said: “[T]here is no excuse for that and I apologize for anyone we upset. However it was great show and Im proud of that.”

Bieber closed with: “I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. and Im not okay with things being exaggerated. once again sorry for anyone upset. now we have a show to do today and Im gonna focus on the positive and put on a great show tonight here in London.”

Tonight is the singer’s second night out of four total performances at the O2 Arena. Adjustments to the set time have apparently been made. Since the incident, the venue apologized on its Twitter page

New York: Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Michelle Obama are giving a helping hand to Beyonce. Obama and the pop stars have signed on to support the global campaign for World Humanitarian Day which Beyonce marked with the release of a new video for her song I Was Here, filmed at the United Nations in New York last week.

The campaign asks that people help others through such acts as making sandwiches for the homeless or volunteering at a local charity. The goal is to share 1 billion messages of hope.

A representative for Beyonce says that Bieber, Gaga, Obama, Rihanna, Shakira, Jay-Z, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and others will participate.

YouTube sensation Austin Mahone stopped by The Elvis Duran Show Z100 last week while in town for his sold out Best Buy Theater show, which he sold out in less than an hour. While at The Elvis Duran Show for a LIVE performance and interview, the 16-year-old ran into none other than his idol Justin Bieber. 

Elvis Duran tweeted with the attached picture: "BREAKING NEWS! @ Justin Bieber + @AustinMahone met for the first time right here in the @ElvisDuran studio!"

Isn't it strange that the Bieber fever that has overtaken the world over the past two years actually hasn't come with a whole lot of new Justin Biebermusic? Since "My World 2.0" was released in March 2010, Bieber has toured the world, released a 3D movie, issued every piece of merchandise available (do YOU have your Justin Bieber trading cards handy?), and even scored two more No. 1 albums, first with a "Never Say Never" remix package, and then with a very solid holiday offering, "Under The Mistletoe."

Those latter two releases gave Bieber's rabid fans a quick fix and hinted at the pop superstar's newfound maturity, all while whetting appetites for "Believe," his highly anticipated new full-length. Unlike with artists such as Lady Gaga or Rihanna, the trajectory of Bieber's career has been based more on the 18-year-old as a person and brand more than a slew of hit singles -- "Baby" certainly seems like a long time ago, and we, as music fans, have gotten to learn everything imaginable about this good-looking Canadian kid before hearing its grown-up follow-up singles.

And so, "Believe" has arrived. It is a very enjoyable, dance-leaning pop record, but it is not the new Justin Timberlake album. And why should it be? Bieber is still just 18 years old and trying to find his musical lane while grappling with an unprecedented amount of attention. Because his growth in front of the camera has occurred so quickly and steadfastly, his music has been (unfairly) expected to do the same. "Believe" has multiple songs that hint at what Bieber could become someday -- "Fall" is a very capable ballad that scratches the surface of truly affecting songwriting; "Right Here" features Bieber being inspired by a rapper whose own mind has been freed, "Matrix"-style; and "Boyfriend" and "Die In Your Arms" remain undeniable singles, the former especially pushing the young singer into new stylistic territory.

Overall, "Believe" sinks its tendrils into the listener's brain by riding the dance music phenomenon and offering some whizz-bang production alongside Bieber's sticky-sweet singing voice. The lyrics are unfussy and at times too complacent in their rhymes, but the music powers the weaker moments through unnoticed. This is a pop record, and even if the flashes of poetic brilliance aren't there, the hooks very much are.

"Believe" does not offer any moments of transcendence, nor does it include a "Cry Me A River." And that's okay. Justin Bieber may not have crossed over into the fearless stomping grounds of the Timberlakes yet, but he may very well get there someday, and that's all we need to know for now.

01. All Around The World ft. Ludacris - Breathy vocals swirl around a beat that pierces the listener on first contact. Ludacris raps in double-time as the album's electronica obsession is immediately presented.

02. Boyfriend - One swaggy single to rule them all: Justin softly offers fondue recommendations and Buzz Lightyear metaphors on top of Mike Posner's loopy production. What shouldn't be one of the year's strongest singles most certainly is.

03. As Long As You Love Me ft. Big Sean - A massive yet somehow intimate dance track, with the drums almost reaching hair metal levels in their vibrations. The Biebs handles his business, but Big Sean's verse probably isn't necessary.

04. Catching Feelings - Flush with guitar and drums, "Catching Feelings" is a showcase for Bieber's blossoming voice to emote about butterflies in his stomach. "Could it be a possibility?/I'm tryin' to see what's up," he sings, the lines feeling like wind through the listener's hair.

05. Take You - Roboticized Euro-dance that sweeps through different tempos. After a "Hold It Against Me"-esque breakdown, the climax is cold and beautiful.

06. Right Here ft. Drake - Drizzy is right in line with Bieber's screwed-up, pit-in-your-stomach romantic feelings, and even throws out similarly constructed warbles and ad-libs. Two young stars brushing love letters off their shoulders.

07. Fall - According to manager Scooter Braun, "Fall" was inspired by the weepy romance "A Walk To Remember." Bieber tries to extract sorrow from the rumbling percussion, falling to his knees as layered vocals increase the melodrama.

For weeks, we’ve known Justin Bieber shares one important thing with countless Canadians (his undying love of Swiss Chalet notwithstanding). Biebz is a huge fan of Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit, Call Me Maybe. After Bieber Tweeted about how much he loves the frothy pop track (currently the No. 3 song on Canadian iTunes), the pop star’s manager, Scooter Braun, signed the Vancouver singer-songwriter to his label, Schoolboy Records. And he’s done this 26-year-old Canadian Idol alum one further solid — recording a new music video for Call Me Maybe.

Apparently shot on somebody’s webcam, the production quality might leave something to be desired — especially compared to Jepsen’s cutesy original. Then again, just adding Bieber makes for instant cinematic magic. The clip also happens to feature Selena Gomez, High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale and members of Boys Like Girls and Big Time Rush.

We’ve posted the video below, which was uploaded to YouTube by Big Time Rush’s Carlos Pena (look for him in the video. He’s one of about a half-dozen teen stars lip syncing to the track), before being tweeted by Bieber.

Jepsen’s EP, Curiosity, arrived Feb. 14, with a full album reportedly expected within the year. And according to the Juno nominee’s Twitter, Jepsen was working with Bieber and others in L.A. this week. As she wrote Wednesday, “In the studio with justinbieber. Listening to his new stuff and it’s blowing my mind.”

Justin Bieber, Far East Movement Drop Fist-Pumping 'Live My Life'

The RedOne-produced party anthem is the lead single off FEM's Dirty Bass.

Justin Bieber's track with Far East Movement dropped Friday (February 24), a few days earlier than expected. "Live My Life," which officially hits iTunes on Tuesday, is the lead single off FEM's new album, Dirty Bass. It feels like Bieber is taking a page from the Usher playbook by hooking up with the dance party-minded production team. The club thumper pays homage to tracks that Usher has made with David Guetta and will.i.am, for instance.

The feel-good song is grinding and a little dirty. For Bieber's part, he sings the hook, proclaiming, "I'm gonna live my life/ No matter what/ We party tonight/ I'm gonna live, live, live my life/ I know that we gonna be all right." He then throws in the good-old dance floor chant "woo woo woo" for good measure.

"We're thrilled to have Justin be a part of Dirty Bass," rapper Kev Nish told RollingStone.com about the club-busting collaboration. "Far East Movement has always focused on unexpected collaborations and mashing up musical genres, which keeps making music exciting. 'Live My Life' is a song we think both Far East Movement and Bieber fans will enjoy together."

The team also worked with LMFAO's RedFoo on a remix of the swirling party track. And, in case you're wondering how the guys in FEM know Bieber, well, apparently Snoop Dogg introduced them at an awards show last year.

The track's producer, RedOne, described the song as "a smash," before he spoke a bit more about the song and hitting the studio with the boys. He added, "And Justin sang the chorus. It's a really good song, and I think people are gonna dance like crazy to it."

Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Rihanna Appear in Unknown Singer's Video (Video)

Katy Perry and Justin Bieber are just two of the massive superstars featured in a new video by a virtually unknown artist. Madonna, Chris Martin and Rihanna also make appearances in the video sprinkled with a host of singing sensations.

Danny Shah is an unsigned artist hoping to make it big with the help of a few of the biggest names in the music industry. But, these guys have no idea they are even in the video. The 20-year-old singer and songwriter from Scotland put a lot of work into making the video featuring his new song, "We Are Connected."

The video is a massive mash-up of video clips taken from the internet. After six long weeks of trolling the internet for the perfect clips, this video is the result. Danny says he wanted to show the six degrees of separation between pop stars today. It is amazing to see each of the singers in the video essentially singing the same words. In the video's description, Danny writes, "I wanted to show, in a transformative way, how like the 6 degrees of separation, you can 'daisy chain' from one collaboration to the next, linking all artists in the music industry."

The amount of work that went into this video has to be massive. How one person managed to do this is amazing. The video is entertaining and gives Danny a chance to show off his musical chops while watchers are focused on the celebrities flashing across the screen. Justin Bieber, Robo-boy, Drops in on CES

Justin Bieber caused a minor scrum on the floor of the Consumer Electronics Show Wednesday when he stopped by to launch a dancing robot for Vietnamese toy and robotics designer Tosy.

Bieber looked ready for the spotlight in his Louis Vuitton denim jacket as he greeted fans in Las Vegas. He signed autographs and posed for pictures for about an hour before stepping to the stage to showcase the company's robot.

The mRobo is designed as a speaker that can also dance to music uploaded from a USB stick. But Tosy seemed not quite ready for the announcement, with at least three microphone failures and a nonworking screen that Bieber was supposed to turn on to start a video of the twirling toy.

Eventually a different screen worked and showed the robot doing a few more dance moves than the actual prototype was able to do. Tosy said the mRobo will be available for purchase this year. The price wasn't immediately available.

Later, after some more confusion about where Bieber was supposed to be, he abruptly left the stage for good. There was no word on how much Tosy paid to have Bieber appear for the company.
